Summer Watering Guide
Colorado experienced dry conditions this winter, resulting in a below-average snowpack. The snowpack feeds the rivers and streams throughout the State.
While MMD’s primary water supply is ground water and remains reliable, MMD is encouraging smart outdoor watering to reduce unnecessary use during ongoing drought conditions statewide.
MMD is also a member of the WISE (Water Infrastructure and Supply Efficiency) partnership and has two interconnects with neighboring utilities available to use during emergencies. MMD is drought resilient!
